Well, 3 lbs might be a lot per week, but good to have a goal. They say not to lose too much too quickly for you lose muscle unless you're building muscle with weights. For example, if I weight 270, my safe to lose max to aim for per week is 2.7 loss. I learned this at livestrong.com and thedailyplate.com. Both are free sites that have helped me figure out calories and exercise proportions. I wish you the best of luck and sweat! ;)

Of course you can do it. You continue to inspire me and give me the motivation to stick to my goals toooooooooooooooo. The way you inspired me Sunday continued.......... in the blog post I just mention the getting off the computer, and the "getting on with it" but apart from mentioning housework and drinking fluids I didn't go into further detail as I was busy "getting on with it", but after what I wrote I did some superb things.

On Sunday 4th I took down the most visible Xmas decs but couldn't box them up as hubby had not taken down boxes from the attic. He took them down Monday or Tuesday but I am bad at doing any housework on a weekday. Anyway, I spent Saturday vegging in my PJs and it was only Sunday, when I read your post about "achieving your goals" that I got the firm kick up the bum I needed.

So I boxed the Xmas decs Sunday evening and did so much housework, (hubby didn't see as he was away from home Sunday evening and night), that Monday night when I arrived home from work he remarked on it.

He sees the way I box up the decs EVERY year, but I did it so mindfully and so beautifully you couldn't fail to notice it was done with a superb attention to detail, so he put it all in the attic with a bounce in his step because he could see I went above and beyond.

Which meant I came back to a beautiful flat on Monday evening and made us a beautiful dinner of fresh salmon and vegetables.

So the goodness went on and on and on.

Let's keep making it happen.

I have massive, huge, burning tears in my eyes, having read your blog entry. I am 100% cheering you on from cyberspace sidelines, pom poms 'n' all. I was also inspired by the letter writing blog and aim to write a letter to my Mum today that I know will mean the absolute world to her. She is living with her sister at the moment, and for a house-proud lady to have all her belongings in boxes - it is a toughie, especially given that she came over and we had a fabulous Xmas together. You are so so so right in what you said about Facebook. They are all friends but not necessarily with the same goals and priorities, so to touch base with a blogger such as yourself is truly wonderful. Thank you thank you thank you

Hi Noelle, you asked if I could recommend a yoga video. My favourite by far, is Kundalini Yoga for Empowering Women. It has my favourite yoga set on it and my favourite meditation (celestial communication). The DVD stars Carolyn Cowan, who is a true inspiration. I have met her many times. She is the chair of KYTA (kundalini yoga teacher's association). RE: music, Snatam Kaur features on the DVD and her music is awesome. The DVD is available from www.devotion.org.uk

Hi Noelle, I too have a ticker factory weight loss ticker but have tried everything anc could not get it to link onto my blog, even though I did get it onto Facebook. How did you get yours to work? I even got advice from Heather (Setting Her Free) and still could not do it despite trying several times. Just realised we have something in common, having read your "about me". You have been married 20 years; we have been together 20, since October, but married for 7. Yep it took us 13 years to get married, but it was on the same day we got together so at least we just have one anniversary to celebrate each year. Good luck with the blog.

Hi Noelle. I too am new to blogging - just started in September last year. At first I was so nervous, but now I simply LOVE it. It has taken on a whole new dynamic, now that I have put losing weight at the top of my priority list. I noticed today that you are following my blog - thank you. I just read your post and so understood it. I too feel the blog gives me accountability. PRIME example: I didn't empty my cupboard of Xmas goodies before dawn of Monday (I think I relied on hubby to do that - human dustbin that he is LOL). BUT just now I arrived home from work ravenous, and looked in the cupboard and a box of mince pies winked at me. JUST because I had blogged (with images) this is my last latte and last mince pie, I did not feel I could eat one. It had that much power. Today at work someone offered me a coffee and I said no for the same reason.
I can't "weight" till the weight loss starts to kick in. (Let's keep each other company on the journey with all its twists and turns). Thanks again.
